Periodic Table Completes Its 7th Row

Ohh! Periodic Table… the name used to bring terror when we were studying in 10th standard. So many elements to remember…

Na Mango Allah Si Pepsi Soda Cola, Arey Ka Dudh Pina”

(Na) (Mg)     (Al) (Si) (P)    (S)      (Cl)    (Ar)  (K)

This is how I used to remember few elements from Periodic Table. Well it was fun back then and it’s a simple trick to remember elements from table too. 🙂

Now, there are 4 new element added in periodic table which complete 7th row of it.

The four new elements have been discovered by scientists in Japan, Russia and America and they are the first ones to be added since 2011 when 114 and 116 were added.

The scientists have continued research for the last seven years to secure a place for elements 113, 115, 117 and 118 on the periodic table, it’s like winning a Gold medal in Olympic for them.

“IUPAC has now initiated the process of formalizing names and symbols for these elements temporarily named as ununtrium, (Uut or element 113), ununpentium (Uup, element 115), ununseptium (Uus, element 117), and ununoctium (Uuo, element 118).”

According to the IUPAC, these new elements can be named after a mythological concept, a mineral, geographical location, a property or a scientist.
