1) 52* — India vs Sri Lanka 2014, Final, ICC World T20 at Mirpur
Batting first, India made 130/4 due to Sri Lankan bowler’s power performance. India fought back hard bring down Sri Lanka 78/4 but Sanga played through scoring 52* off 32 balls with 6 fours and 1 six. And Sri Lanka won its maiden ICC World T20.
2) 90 — India vs Sri Lanka 2009, 1st ODI at Rajkot
In one of the most highest-scoring ODI ever played, India put mammoth 414/7 on score board. In response Sri Lanka replied back strongly. Sanga made quick fire 90 off 43 balls with 10 fours and 5 sixes. Though Sri Lanka lost match by just 3 runs but Sangakkara showed his class.
3) 105– India vs Sri Lanka 2012, CB Series Match 11
Kumar Sangakkara came back to blistering form by scoring a quick-fire 105 in just 87 balls vs India at Hobart and put on a 200 run partnership with TM Dilshan for the 2nd wicket to propel Sri Lanka to a competitive score of 320.
4) 144 – India vs Sri Lanka 2008, Test Match, Colombo
India had made a good 249 in their first innings. Sangakkara scored 144. Sri Lanka took a 147-run lead and this proved to be too much for the Indians.
5) 133 – India vs Sri Lanka 2012, 1st ODI, Hambantota
Batting first India had given 325 run target. Sri Lankan upper order collapsed while chasing score. But Sanga showed his class by making 133 runs with 12 fours against difficult Indian bowling attack. Sangakkara’s batting made it difficult for Indians to win this match.
